Sumba Surf
Sumba is situated South of Sumbawa and has a population of 300.000 people,
Sumbanese people are friendly race.
This Island produces many mysteries with their culture and their sandalwood timber which is used for healing properties
such as penicillin and not to mention their love of the “Pasola games” Horse back fighting.
On the South side of Sumba also known as the Spice Island and produces some great waves.
Surf breaks : Bonde, Kodi, Marosi, Launching Pads, Sunset left, Miller’s right, and God’s left.

Along the coast there are lot’s of local accommodation. Nihiwatu Eco-Resort and Mr. David’s Camp.
There are 2 breaks in front, The Office and Racetracks, also you can get a small boat to Manggudu Island
this place is Heaven and also produces a Left and a Right Hander.
But remember the winds can blow side shore, early morning surfs are the go and beware of the malaria it still exists.
Timor, Roti, and Sabu is a close island neighbour of Sumba and produces great waves,
Nambrala is the best known spot on the island of Roti also Timor offers great waves.
