LEMBONGAN
|
Shipwreck: Is a hotdogging right that gives you a great barrel section to boot.
It doesn't perform well over six feet and so is best ridden during medium (four to five foot) swells.
On low tide it goes flat, then when the tide rushes in...well, so does the swell.
Laceration: Is a thick and bowling righthander that has earned its ominous name in deference to the shallow reef which lurks below its antics.
The Lacerations break, definitely the best wave off Lembongan, presents its finest gifts from mid to high tide.
Playground: Is a soft break at the far south end next to a headland cliff. A long and fun left there is complemented by a hollow right off the other side.
The Playgrounds left peels in a style reminiscent of Kuta Reef.
The down-reef right peak meanwhile is shifty but will now and then dispense barrels.

DESERT POINT
|
This is one of the best waves on Lombok. This impressive perfect long left hand point break requires a swell of good direction
and size to fire, but given those requirements it more than produces the barrelling. Tides are also a serious factor.
Sometimes it can appear to be two foot high tide slop upon initial inspection, the as the tide recedes, it can jump up to four to five foot and
is excellent. Then, as the tide rises, the good stuff will simply disappear. Deserts starts off small at the take off,
then as it winds down the reef, the wave will increase in size and barrel down the line. And once you are locked into a barrel,
well, you stay there for quite a while. Yes, a goofy footers delight. Desert Point can be surfed at all levels.
Come aboard the Partama to experience the adventure ... you won't regret it. |

SUPERSUCK
|
This is the most famous and sought after wave on this rugged coast.
It is however Sumbawa's most fickle surfing spot. When Supersuck is working however it is really working and will make your trip to Sumbawa more
than worthwhile. Big walls of water break off a boil rock on the outside of the bay and that bowls and winds down the reef for a few hundred metres.
The inside section of this reef gets really shallow and dangerous! Yes Supersuck has some of the thickest lips in all of Sumbawa
(and indeed in all of Indonesia for that matter).
YO YO'S
|
Just south of Supersuck is your best bet when everything else is small.
This beautiful bay offers two different spots. The first is about 400 metres from a towering cliff.
It is a right, sometimes called The Hook, which gets real good and holds up to six feet of swell.
This wave is fast and hollow and features shifting peaks that, well, "yo-yo". It breaks and is rideableon all tides except a dead-low one.
The second wave here, located right up against the cliff is called The Wedge, and can handle six to eight feet of swell before closing out.
It consists of a shifty and mushy outside peak that winds into fast and bowling inside section. |

SCAR REEF
|
Scar Reef is a great left hander and hollow wave that is best at lower tides.
Either side of low tide will cause this wave to break further down the line towards the jutting headland.
Higher tides bring the wave closer to the inside and cause it to section considerably.
Scar Reef picks up plenty of swell depending on swell direction, but it is particularly good - and waves are hollow and superb - on a big south swell
Inside Scars: Locally known as Parta's Lefts and Rights, this wave is inside the bay when Scar Reef is maxing out.
It is good for the intermediate surfer or woman surfer and can be a lot of fun and has good shape. Best on high tide at two to four feet.
LEMBONGAN & LOMBOK - Early Season Trip April
|
During early season April when not many surfers come to Bali, we offer another surf adventure to Lembongan & Lombok.
There is an abundance of excellent surf on the south coastline of Lombok - places such as Desert Point, Ekas, Mawi and Belongas Bay.
These waves can range from 3' to 8' in size. Lombok is a beautiful island with towering headlands,
that is picturesque to the max and Mawun's perfect half moon bay shape offers left and rights that wrap down the bay.
This is truly a place to visit and the people are friendly with no crowds at this time of year.
